Sales & Business Development Manager (m/f/d) EV Chargers Deutschland

Smart Mobility Europe BV is a Recruitment & Business Consulting Agency in e-mobility and owner of and, the leading Direct Search Experts in the European Bicycle Industry.

Our client is a world-renowned technology giant with a strong focus on consumer electronics, battery packs, and a whole series of ultra-efficient and convenient EV chargers made in Europe. To expand the latter business, we are looking for an enthusiastic Sales & Business Development Manager (m/f/d). The position is located in our German Office in München (Home Office Possibilities exist).

Mission of the role

We are looking for a strong sales & business development person with a good entrepreneurial mindset to establish our EV Charging Business in the Top 5 of suppliers (AC/ DC incl. Back End) within the next 3 years. You must be capable to implement and execute adequate strategies for the German market, and be able to personally develop and grow, so that you can expand the business to further European Markets (especially DACH (GAS), France, UK, and others). We will of course give you all the support that is needed. Your role starts in Germany and gives you the chance to bring your career to a next level as our Sales Director Europe.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify potential target markets and customers

  • Connect with the right contacts from industry key players (Real Estate, Energy Suppliers, Fleet Management, etc.)

  • Plan and Execute Sales and Business Development Strategies

  • Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers and strategic partners

  • Analyze and report the EV Charging Business development opportunities in the German (European) market and give insights on “what’s next” to the HQ

  • Keep yourself up-to-date with regional- state- or country specific legal issues and requirements

  • Work together closely with all relevant in-house stakeholders such as R&D, PM, Marketing, After Sales, etc.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor or Master in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or similar

  • 5-7+ years experience in a national or international Sales role

  • Good understanding of- and network within E-Mobility, renewable energy, or similar

  • Able to build and lead a team or have the potential to do so in the future

  • IT-Affinity & Basic Software Understanding (SaaS; Back End)

  • Strategic & Operational Project Management

  • Experience with Go-To Market Strategies

  • Good Communication Skills & Excellent German and very good English skills

  • High Drive & Hands-On: You are a Hunter, not a Farmer

  • Business Understanding of Cultural Differences
